1.      ABOUT OUR POLICY

Our Privacy Policy outlines what kinds of personal and sensitive information we collect, why we collect this information, and how we handle it.

We do not collect sensitive information about you.

2.1.   Kinds of Personal Information

The kinds of personal information we collect about you includes all of the following:

The reason we collect this information is because of the kinds of PRODUCTS and SERVICES we provide.

2.2.   The Need for Personal Information

We collect personal information about you where it is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, one or more of our PRODUCTS and SERVICES. The reasons we collect your personal information will depend on the PRODUCTS and SERVICES you access or are seeking.

We need to be able to identify you as a legal natural person when we enter a contract and agreement. Being able to adequately identify each party in a contract is especially important for all parties involved.

We allow companies such as employers to purchase our PRODUCTS and SERVICES for their employees but we do not allow companies to holds SUBSCRIPTIONS nor be the registered place of residence of a person for any learning event. This is because we are providing the learning to you as the learner and not the company.

Some of our learning and professional PRODUCTS and SERVICES give you access to our organisation’s systems. We use these systems to provide the best learning experience we feel we can at the time and hence we need to know who we are letting into our organisation.

The same rule applies if we take up an offer by company for us to use their systems in place of ours to train their employees because we will not be able to contact you if a company is wound-up.

We may also collect information about you to help us establish and verify your identity and administer records.

2.3.   Recording

We record online live events. Live events and their recordings are subject to copyright.

You can choose how you interact in a live event depending on your comfort with being recorded.

2.4.   Social Networking Services

We use social networking services such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn to talk with the public. When you talk with us using these services we may collect your personal information to communicate with you and the public.

The social networking service will also handle your personal information for its own purposes. These services have their own privacy policies. You can access the privacy policies for these services on their websites.

2.5.   To Deliver Payments and Services

We may collect your personal information when it is reasonably necessary for delivering payments or services. For example, we may collect your personal information to:

  • confirm your identity

  • communicate with you, including by SMS or email

  • ensure correct payments are made

  • verify data provided in relation to claims and reviews with third parties

  • manage complaints and feedback

  • manage and respond to requests for information

  • administer and provide online services.

2.6.   Market Research

We may use personal information about such as your age, suburb and State or residence to conduct statistical analysis and market research. We presently do not conduct such activities.

2.7.   How We Store Personal Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against misuse, interference, and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include:

  • avoiding the use of paper copy

  • storing paper records securely

  • only accessing personal information on a need-to-know basis and by authorised personnel

  • When no longer required, we destroy or archive personal information in a secure manner.

We use the services of our providers such as Microsoft and Squarespace to collect and store personal information you provide us.

2.8.   Feedback

Feedback and complaint can be lodged at info@sulphurcresteng.com.au.

We will use the information from your feedback to investigate individual issues. We will also use the information to provide feedback to staff or our business. Your information will be stored and used to assist us to improve the delivery of our services.
